simple, spare design from utilitarian materials. Light line with a subtle hierarchy. An approximate square in form. The only ornament is the evidence in the wood of time done in the elements.
Constructed from welded 1" x 1" steel angle, 3/4" x 3/4" steel angle and reclaimed old growth cedar.
As shown, approximately 38" wide x 36" high x 11" deep. Shelves have 10 inches open space each. Ships fully assembled.

SOURCING
Sourced steel is estimated at 89.5% recycled content. All wood is reclaimed, meaning it has been salvaged for re-use from barns, warehouses and other industrial agrarian buildings in Seattle, Tacoma and the Puget Sound environs. Wood patina varies with each piece of furniture, but is similar in tone, mineral stain, wear and sheen.
CRAFT
birdloft prides itself on its exceptional craft. Every piece is made with meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of how wood moves and breathes.
FINISH
Steel is hot rolled factory black finished with a clear matte enamel. Wood is finished with beeswax and a breathable, locally produced tung oil.
